The long saga of three-star athlete Juanyeh Thomas' recruitment appears over. In the end he said the same three teams were his finalist, Georgia Tech, Florida and Auburn, but the Jackets prevailed thanks to relationships and his vibe on the Atlanta campus.

The Jackets got the last crack at Thomas and that helped close the deal along with his area recruiter Andy McCollum.

"This last visit to Georgia Tech was great," Thomas said after his July trek. "Everything stood out to me, the coaching staff, the stadium, the campus, the practice facility and especially coach McCollum he is a real down to Earth coach. We have a real close relationship, me and coach McCollum. Georgia Tech has a great coaching staff overall."

Thomas is also close with Jackets' commit Zamari Walton who helped recruit him to the Flats. He is the 14th commit for the 2018 recruiting class.
