Georgia Tech reached into enemy territory to land Athens (Ga.) Prince Avenue Christian offensive lineman Harrison Jump on Monday afternoon. Jump is the fourth commit for the Jackets' 2018 class.

"Georgia Tech has the best education you can get, it is a huge football program and my granddad is the biggest Georgia Tech fan ever. He was at the 1990 National Championship game, so it is a big deal for me and my family," Jump said. "I grew up a Georgia fan, but most of my family are Tech fans and I feel like I'm now coming home to join them."

With a standout performance in Tech's summer camp, Jump was one of only two offensive linemen to earn offers from 30-plus 2018 targets. Jump camped at Georgia Tech on Saturday and landed an offer on Sunday after impressing offensive line coach Mike Sewak and Jackets' head coach Paul Johnson with his performance.

"Coach Sewak told me that he liked me speed, agility and my big frame and they can turn and mold me into what they want on the offensive line," he said.

With a lot of interest in the last few months from FBS and FCS schools, Jump said he feels relieved to have his future home lined up and a scholarship from Georgia Tech.

"It feels awesome to be a Georgia Tech commit and it is a big relief for me and my family now," he said.

Jump is the third commitment in 24 hours for the Jackets.
