Georgia Tech football coach Brent Key has to find a path to leveling up his defense after a giant upward swing offensively in 2023. Key will have various options to fill his defensive coordinator spot currently filled by interim defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer who replaced Andrew Thacker a third of the way into the 2023 season as the playcaller. Key also has two open on-the-field spots or more to fill depending on what happens on the defensive side of the ball once he makes his decision on a coordinator.
