Underclassman Spotlight: Camden County LB Jadin Jones

In the recruiting industry, things are always changing. Whether it be the early signing period, allowing early official visits, or even the new trend in today's time, virtual visits. Things are constantly changing.

In the past, JOL would focus 99% of their attention on the current recruiting class.

Those days are over.

From this day forward, each weekday the JOL staff will spotlight an underclassman recruit with a GT offer.

This new feature will be a way for subscribers to stay in the know about which recruits are likely to end up on the 2022 offer list when it is unveiled for the first time in January.

The first featured recruit of the week? Camden County LB Jadin Jones.

Georgia Tech is currently the only offer on the table for Jones, but he has schools such as Minnesota, Mississippi State, Wisconsin, and several others from showing interest in recent months.

So often the class of 2021 is talked about as the class feeling the most impact from the loss of the spring evaluation period, but a recruit like Jones is feeling the effects as well.

Jadin was in disbelief when coach (Marco) Coleman gave him the news back in February.

"I couldn't believe it," he sad. "I had gotten my first offer. Coach Coleman I had been keeping in touch with each other since the end of my Freshman season.

Every now and then we would FaceTime, and on one of those calls he asked me if he had already offered me. I told him 'no sir, not officially,' and he responded with ' Well, you have one. We want you here in Atlanta."

Jones had planned to visit two times earlier this year. His first visit was set to be a junior day trip that he had to miss out on with a funeral, and the other visit was canceled due to the COVID-19 Dead Period.
