They say home is where the heart is, right?

For student-athletes who happened to play their high school football as Rams at Grayson High School just over 37 miles from Bobby Dodd, they seem to have found a second home.

On Friday, just under a month since news broke of him entering the transfer portal, former Alabama defender Kevin Harris II made his decision to head home to play for Collins and the rest of his staff official.

Harris will become the sixth former Grayson Football player on the Georgia Tech roster heading into the 2021 season.

Earlier this week, Harris spent some time with JOL to break down his decision, talk about his fit in the defense, and much more in this exclusive interview.

WHAT HE'S SAYING

ON WHAT MADE GEORGIA TECH THE PLACE: "I made a list of things that I was looking at," Harris said as he broke down his decision. "I definitely liked that it was close to home. I was going through one by one, eliminating different schools and crossing them off one at a time, until it got down to being just Georgia Tech left."

I was able to watch a couple of their games, and I saw all of the things that the coaches had been telling me about, they came alive on the field when they are out there actually doing it."

I was able to see how I will fit in, and then I asked some very specific and detailed questions just to see EXACTLY where I would fit, and how I could contribute to their team."
