Commit 13

Georgia Tech picked up the first July commitment from Carrollton (Ga.) cornerback Dante Wigley. Wigley chose the Jackets over Boston College, Mississippi State and N.C. State.
The only thing that kept Wigley from committing early was questions he had about the Tech campus and how the school works. Once he took a full tour of campus, Wigley says there was no doubt in his mind he would be a Jacket.

"I had never really toured the campus in depth before and Tech is literally a city within a city that is big and very nice," Wigley said. "I only wondered if I would feel at home and once I saw everything I knew Tech was the place for me. Besides Tech is such a prestigious school and football program."
Joining Wigley for his tour of Tech Monday was his mother and sister. Wigley said his mother has been Tech's lead recruiter to land his commitment.
"My mom loved it," Wigley said of the tour. "She was like another recruiter for Tech and my family are Tech fans anyways. I felt like I was bound to end up at Tech."
Yellow Jacket head coach Paul Johnson hosted Wigley in his office where Wigley promptly committed after the tour.
"Coach Johnson welcomed me to the Tech family and we sat and talked for a while. He told me to stay healthy and focus on my senior year and season," he said. "I also talked with all the other assistants."
Wigley is the second defensive back commitment for 2015 and the Jackets' 13th commit.
"This has been a stressful process and I am done with my recruitment and happy to be a Yellow Jacket," he told Jacketsonline.
Wigley will spend the remaining three weeks of the summer working with his teammates on 7-on-7 drills before cranking up full fall practice in August.
