Georgia Tech picked up the first commitment for the 2017 recruiting cycle on Sunday evening from punter Pressley Harvin III. Harvin is considered the top punter in the nation by Kohl's Kicking for the 2017 class.

"I feel as if Georgia Tech was the best school for me academically and sports wise," Harvin said. "I also have a good support system right around the corner from the university."

The decision to commit to Georgia Tech was more than a football decision for the talented punter, but more of a life decision.

"I just started to really consider them as the school I would love to be a part of. And their extremely close to a lot of big corporations that I can have internships and things down that route with," he said. "I am 100-percent positive that Georgia Tech is the school for me. My parents backed everything that I told them and they're very excited to see what happens next."

Havin announced his decision on Twitter Sunday evening.
