Two Jackets opt to transfer out

Georgia Tech lost two pieces of the 2016 football team as part-time starting B-back and leading rusher Marcus Marshall announced his decision to transfers. Joining Marshall on the transfer train is reserve cornerback Dorian Walker.

Marshall ran for 624 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games and six starts.

Walker backed up starting corner Lance Austin and registered three tackles and an interception in the Vanderbilt game in mop up duty.

The departures leave Georgia Tech with 21 openings in the 2017 class. Jerry Howard has committed at B-back and the Jackets have five defensive back commits.
