Practice Notes 8/29

Georgia Tech's football team returned the practice field on Monday after a long weekend and head coach Paul Johnson said his team's legs looked good for game week against Boston College.

"I thought the effort and intensity was good," Johnson said after practice on Monday. "They needed a couple of days off. Today we start game week and everyone should be excited and ready to go. It has been a long time since we've had a chance to play."

Johnson said despite the long travel he is approaching this game like any other road trip.

"We are trying to approach this just like an away game," Johnson said. "It is hard in some ways. I don't think there is a great way (for long road trips). I had eight years at the University of Hawaii and every road game was eight or nine hours so you gain some knowledge from that on how to do things."
