Lands-Davis leaves GT football program

Georgia Tech began Coaches' Runs on Monday but they are down a man as junior receiver/slot Mikell Lands-Davis has decided to leave the football program. Lands-Davis is still enrolled at Tech and will continue his education, but he does not want to play football for the Yellow Jackets.

Lands-Davis was the third and sometimes fourth receiver in 2016 for the Jackets with two receptions for 14 yards. As a true freshman, he had 40 yards rushing and 69 yards receiving playing A-back. Head coach Paul Johnson and the staff had planned to use Lands-Davis at A-back again this fall as a replacement for Ike Willis who graduated.

Johnson confirmed Lands-Davis departure to JOL. He is the fifth player to leave the program since January.
