Free Audio: Coach confirms Butlers commitment
Georgia Tech will receive their sixth verbal commitment later today when Ponte Vedra Beach (Fla.) Nease cornerback Mario Butler makes the call to Chan Gailey to tell him of his decision. Nease head coach Craig Howard confirmed the decision on Thursday afternoon and he spoke at length about his star player and the kind of talent that Tech will be getting.

Butler chose the Yellow Jackets over offers from more than 25 schools, including Maryland, South Carolina, Clemson and Virginia Tech. He is Tech's sixth overall commitment and the second defensive back in the class. Butler was recruited by Tech assistant Buddy Geis.
