For an offense that had plenty of questions this season with the passing game, it's getting plenty of answers for the future.
Winter Haven (Fla.) three-star wide receiver Kendrick Holland became Virginia Tech's fourth wide receiver commitment for the class of 2014 when he gave the Hokies his pledge tonight. Virginia Tech now has 22 commitments overall, including a few other commitments who could also play wide receiver.
Holland joins four-star Javon Harrison, three-star Cameron Phillips, two-star Greg Stroman and two-star Jaylen Bradshaw as the Hokies' wide receiver commitments for the class. Travon McMillian could also play the position.
Holland made the decision after narrowing his list to Virginia Tech, Minnesota and Kentucky earlier this month. Holland officially visited Blacksburg for the Hokies' 27-17 victory over North Carolina Oct. 5.
Holland also officially visited Minnesota Sept. 28.
Assistant coaches Aaron Moorehead and Torrian Gray both recruited Holland, who told HokieHaven.com this spring that he had a strong affinity for Virginia Tech.
"I like the school and they run their offense, too," Holland said of Virginia Tech. "I've got a real good connection with Coach Gray. He came to a couple of my basketball games and everything. I feel like I could fit in well over there, too."
