Hunt decommits from Cal, now Oregon bound
GoldenBearReport has learned that 4-star Centennial offensive lineman Cameron Hunt officially decommitted from California on Thursday and will sign with Oregon on Wednesday, National Signing Day.
The country's 18th ranked o-lineman, Hunt committed to Cal back on July 7th, but re-opened his recruitment following the firing of head coach Jeff Tedford and Cal offensive line coach Jim Michalczik.
Hunt took official visits to Michigan, Ohio State, and Oregon over the last three weeks, before trimming his final four to a final two: Cal and Oregon.
Centennial head coach Matt Logan told GoldenBearReport Friday he had no knowledge of Hunt's decommitment and would only say that Hunt would make a decision on National Signing Day, and that decision would be between Cal and Oregon.
A member of the 2013 Rivals250, the 6'4", 267-pound tackle is Rivals' 34th-ranked player in the state of California.
Hunt -- who paved the way for two 1,000-yard running backs at Centennial -- holds 19 offers, was named to the 2013 CalHiSports all-state football first team last month, and was honored as the Los Angeles Times Lineman of the Year in December.
