Thrift excited for WVU Junior Day




West Virginia has struggled for years to recruit the greater Pittsburgh area. No matter who was the head coach, the Mountaineers haven't had the success that one would assume from a big city a little over an hour away. Of course this hasn't stopped WVU's head man Dana Holgorsen from hitting the steel city hard for the 2014 cycle, which so far has netted the Mountaineer's a commitment from Gateway wide receiver Ricky Rogers.


The first verbal commitment to WVU is far from the only Gateway prospect West Virginia is interested in. The Mountaineer staff has extended an offer to linebacker/defensive end Brenon Thrift.
