SCOOP HD: Bedlam Battle in H-Town

ALIEF, Texas -- The world knew that Oklahoma was hosting a pair of offensive tackles on official visits last weekend but much as Ogbonnia Okoronkwo sneaks into one backfield after another he snuck into Norman, Okla. with few aware he was coming.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound three-star prospect who stars at defensive tackle for the Lions but projects at defensive end had been quiet on his trip to Norman prior to SCOOP HD making the trip over to catch up with him about hist rip and how things stand with the long-time Oklahoma State commitment.

SCOOP HD is best viewed in full screen mode, a feature found at the bottom right of the video window.

The visit to Norman was a surprise to many but it was something that was planned by the Oklahoma coaching staff - namely Tim Kish and [db]Bobby Jack Wright last week and was done so for a reason.

"The visit came about, coach Kish and coach Wright wanted me to come out and really wanted me to come to a home game. It was going to be the last home game I could go to so we went ahead and set it up," Okoronkwo said.

While he remains committed to Oklahoma State, a decision he made in late June, he said that Oklahoma gave him plenty to ponder when it comes to his decision process.

"They gave me a lot to think about, it was exciting, it was really a rich experience, he admitted.

So where exactly do things stand for the nation's No. 32 weakside defensive end?

"I'm committed to Oklahoma State, I was just weighing my options. Oklahoma, I went on the visit it was great but I have to compare the two," he said.
