Thrift has leader

While the efforts to fill the 2013 recruiting class are well underway, it's never too early to begin focus on the current crop of rising juniors that will make up the 2014 cycle. And an outside linebacker from Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway Sr. has a clear cut leader at this stage in his recruitment.

Brenon Thrift currently holds offers from arch-rivals West Virginia and Pittsburgh, and while the Panthers have made some headway with new coach Paul Chryst at the helm, it's the Mountaineers that hold the top spot for the 6-foot-3, 240-pounder.
