TULSA - This time last year Tulsa Union three-star Dalton Rodriguez was known as a defensive lineman with real potential but the question was, would he be best suited as a defensive end or as a defensive tackle? Apparently, everyone had it wrong for the 6-foot-6, 255-pound prospect.

The talented Rodriguez decided over the past few days to commit to Oklahoma, and while the Sooners expressed some early interest in him along the defensive line, it was at offensive tackle where offensive tackles coach Bruce Kittle decided to offer him on Tuesday.

In the end, the position wasn't what brought him to Norman.
