Brantley (Ala.) defensive end Taylor Driggers is beginning to receive more interest from colleges, and the 6-foot-1, 245-pound in-state standout could be on the verge of receiving his first offer.
Auburn, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Troy, Arkansas State, MTSU and South Alabama are all showing interest. Coaches from Auburn and Troy have made stops at Brantley High during the spring evaluation period to check on Driggers.
Auburn defensive line coach Mike Pelton has been a regular, said Driggers.
"Coach Pelton has been showing a lot of interest," said Driggers. "He came by and talked to my coach to see how everything is going and watched some video."
Driggers visited Auburn twice during the spring and met with Pelton on both trips. The Tigers made, and continue to make, good impressions on Driggers.
"They invited me to their Junior Day and A-Day Game and I visited both times and really liked it," said Driggers. "I spoke to Coach Pelton a lot on both visits and I like him a lot.
"Auburn is a great school. It has great facilities It is a great program. I love Coach Pelton and think he would be a great guy and coach to play for."
Driggers plans to camp at Auburn in June, and could also make trips to Mississippi State, Troy and others.
"I'm working hard and I'm going to keep working hard and hopefully it will pay off," said Driggers. "Hopefully it will pay off with an offer."
In 13 games as a junior, Driggers had 89 tackles and 11 sacks. At 6-1, 245, Driggers claims a 4.81-second 40-yard dash, 370-pound bench press, 550-pound squat and a 32-inch vertical leap.
