Dantonio says new additions will contribute next fall

Although signing date is not until Feb. 6, a couple of members of the upcoming Michigan State recruiting class have already begun their Spartan experience.

Novi (Mich.) Defensive end Tyler Hoover and defensive back Johnny Adams of Akron, Buchtel have already graduated from their respective high schools and have enrolled in classes at Michigan State. Both players will participate in winter conditioning and take part in spring football at Michigan State.

Hoover and Adams are not the only newcomers who will be immediately looking to contribute, as Trevor Anderson and Arthur Ray Jr. will also be available to help the Spartans.

Anderson, the transfer from the University of Cincinnati, was officially released from Cincinnati shortly before Christmas and has been placed on scholarship by Michigan State. Ray Jr., who was diagnosed with cancer last summer, has been cleared to rejoin the team.
