Special teams getting special attention by Belin
Warren Belin is a man who'd rather move forward rather than dwell on the past. But when Vanderbilt's special teams coordinator looks back at last at the unit's performance, he's not afraid to be brutally honest.
"There were possibly two more games we could have won if I, as a coordinator and everybody else involved, had just taken care of our responsibilities on special teams," Belin said just days before the opening of August practice.
Specifically, Belin laments some lost chances against last year's national champions. The Commodores one punt blocked inside their ten, and another deep within their territory in that game, and gave up a two-point conversion to the Gators on a botched extra point snap.
