Lomax making a move
With the departures of senior defensive end Quentin Moses and junior defense end Charles Johnson to the NFL draft, Georgia will have to two new starters at the defensive end position for the first time since the 2002 season. With one week of spring practice in the books, Marcus Howard and Roderick Battle are still holding down top spot at each end position, but one player looking to move up in the rotation is junior Jeremy Lomax from Lovejoy High School in Jonesboro, Georgia.
Lomax played in several games last season as a sophomore after only playing in four games as a true freshman in 2005 because of an ankle injury. After missing all of spring practice in 2006 because of a shoulder injury, Lomax is happy to be healthy and able to compete for playing time this spring.
