Dream season continues
2006-07 Regular season conference champions, conference tournament champions, and a top seed in the NCAA tournament have the Kansas Jayhawks (30-4, 14-2) riding high heading into the Big Dance. Fresh off their second scintillating win over Texas (24-9, 12-4), the Jayhawks are a favorite to cut down a third, and possibly fourth pair of nets. Bill Self has his team playing its best basketball at the right time, but won't have an easy road to Atlanta. Julian Wright, Brandon Rush and company will try to carry their momentum all the way to a National Championship.
With so many lofty expectations for Kansas coming into the 2006-07 season, Jayhawk fans had faith that a very talented KU team would find themselves on top come March. Back-to-back first-round flops were still a cause for concern, and to a certain extent, prevented a large percentage of KU faithful to really believe this would be the year.
