UCLA coach Ben Howland held an impromptu teleconference to talk about his star guard Arron Afflalo being named the Pac 10 Player of the Year. He was also pleased that his team had four players total receiving honors for their outstanding play during the Pac 10 season.

Howland: "I just really number one, happy for and proud of Arron being named the Pac 10 Men's Basketball Player of the Year. He has really had an unbelievable year and to me the number one thing that the Player of the Year does is he makes his team win and obviously he's been the mainstay for the last two years in helping us win back to back regular season Pac 10 championships.
