Rocker looking forward to Tech career

It was a pretty memorable senior season for Albert Rocker. The defensive lineman from Sparkman High School in New Market, Ala. helped lead his team to one of their best years ever and he also committed to his favorite school, Georgia Tech. Rocker, who will play linebacker in college, took his official visit to Tech last month.

Rocker played primarily defensive end in high school, but he occasionally dropped back to play middle linebacker. He was named All-Region, All-Metro and was an All-State second team selection. His team finished 10-2 overall.

"As a team we accomplished a lot of stuff," Rocker said. "We actually set the school record for most wins. We lost in the second round of the playoffs, but our team had never gone to the second round before. I think we finished pretty good. I had 86 tackles and 17 sacks."
