Georiga Tech will challenge Bruins

BruinSportsReport.com Paul Hewitt, Georgia Tech's fine young coach, brings a group of inexperienced yet talented and athletic players into the final of the Maui Invitational on Wednesday evening as they face off against fifth-ranked UCLA.
Tech defeated both Purdue and Memphis thus far in this tournament, and come in beaming with confidence after starting the season 5-0 following a disappointing 11-17 campaign just a year ago.
Such improvement was to be expected however, as Hewitt has infused three talented freshman performers into the starting line-up, including two McDonald's All-Americans in point guard Javaris Crittenton, Rivals.com's No. 1 rated lead guard in the class of 2006, and forward Thaddeus Young, a consensus top 10 player nationally.
