El Paso's other big man
El Paso Chapin defensive tackle Dominique Hamilton has seemingly always been overshadowed by his rival from El Paso Andress Andre Jones.
Despite El Paso's location at the tip of West Texas, Jones' reputation as the best defensive tackle in the class of 2007 enabled him to garner eight offers by February, and the talented big man committed to Texas after an unofficial visit.
But with people like Jones off the board, more opportunites are opening up for people like Hamilton who are fine players in their own right.
In fact, the 6-foot-6, 280-pound Hamilton is currently overwhelmed with attention. El Paso Chapin head coach Darrin Walker gets multiple phone calls every day from schools inquiring about Hamilton.
Hamilton has already been offered in writing by Missouri and by UTEP, and other schools, including Texas A&M, are telling him something is on the way.
