Render sees first game at Iowa
Indianola offensive lineman Keegan Render is one of four in-state prospects that hold an early offer from Iowa in the Class of 2014 and the Hawkeyes hosted all four on campus Saturday. For the 6-foot-3, 310-pound Render, it marked not only his first visit to Iowa City since receiving the offer this past summer, but also his first game ever at Kinnick Stadium. We caught up with him to get the latest.
Q: Can you kind of take us through your visit to Iowa on Saturday? What all did you get to do?
RENDER: Well, there was a tour, but we were a little late getting in, so we didn't really get to do that. We just went down to the field for warm-ups and the players were right there next to us, which was cool. Then we went back inside and went into a conference room where Coach Ferentz talked to us a little bit before the game. After that, we just went to our seats and watched the game.
Q: What did you think of the game itself?
RENDER: It was really intense. There was a lot of talking on the field. It was fun to watch.
