Wilson finds right fit with Ducks
Most schools would just about be done at running back after securing a commitment from a five-star prospect at the position, but not Oregon. The Ducks want to put as many play makers on the field as they can and recruits have watched the Ducks utilize more than one threat at a time.
That's one reason Dontre Wilson didn't have any problem committing to Oregon in spite of the commitment of five-star running back Thomas Tyner.
Another reason might simply be that Tyner and Wilson are two different backs. The "thunder and lightning" analogy is overused but it's helpful in illustrating an important point in this case. Tyner is your more conventional running back that can take 25 carries a game while breaking tackles and wearing a defense down (not that he doesn't have game breaking speed), while Wilson is more of your modern third-down back that can take everyone off guard with his quickness and elusiveness.
