While this past year was a down season for Florida football, the Gators baseball team fell just one best-of-three series shy of a national championship.

For some football prospects, head coach Kevin O'Sullivan's baseball squad might be an irrelevant point. But for 2013 Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian safety Nick Washington, Florida's performance on the diamond is a big deal.

The two-sport athlete visited UF on Tuesday after participating in Friday Night Lights and came away impressed with the Gators.
