Last year, right about this time in April, Memphis standout Jarnell Stokes was staking his reputation as one of the young sophomores who had a chance to be special. The Central High star had a big body at 6-foot-8 and 265 pounds and he wore out his opposition under the basket with brute strength, rebounding prowess and an impressive low post skill-set. At times, he was an immovable object in the paint and he rebounded the ball with as much success as anyone in the senior or junior class.
